Individual & Couples Therapy
Serving Nashville, Brentwood & Murfreesboro
We love love.
You do too, of course! But, loving love and feeling love are two different things.
You’ve already tried to change how you act. Like, “Maybe if I can just be less reactive and more present - THEN things will change.” Sound familiar? You’re probably frustrated, but hopeful. I mean - you’re here and Google got you here.
Your literal search for an upgrade to your relationship makes you
perfect for us.
What makes our counselors different?
This is all we do. And we do it really well.
Whether you’re seeking couples counseling, individual therapy or support for your family - we use a powerful, research-backed model called Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to guide the process.
We’re not generalists.
We don’t dabble in a little bit of everything.
We are highly trained, stubbornly committed EFT therapists - and we’ve seen this model change lives.
How EFT Couples Counseling in Nashville Can Truly Help
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) helps you do more than just talk about the problem - it helps you heal the pattern underneath.
Because that tension between you? It’s not about the dishes. Or the weekend plans. Or who said what first.
It’s about protection, fear, and disconnection.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is the most effective, evidence-based approach to healing relationships. It has been studied for decades. The research is clear. And more importantly - we’ve watched it work with our clients, again and again.
How Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Works:
Understand what’s really happening underneath the conflict
Express core emotions that often stay hidden
Learn how to reach for each other in new, healing ways
Rebuild safety, trust and closeness - one conversation at a time
This isn’t communication skills 101.
This is science-backed, attachment-based work that helps you change how you relate at the deepest level.
It works for couples. It works for families. It works for trauma.
It works - because it’s human.
Understand what’s really happening underneath the conflict.

Meet the Team
You can’t afford to wait.
You may think time will work on your side. It doesn't. If your relationship or mental health is suffering now - eventually it will break. Time doesn't heal. People who do nothing settle for coping. Eventually, those coping strategies wear on your physical health. We have evidence of relational distress and loneliness contributing to chronic pain, heart disease and even affecting longevity of life.
How healthy is your relationship?
Take this quick quiz to see. It’s just a quiz - it can never replace a true in-person assessment of your relationship - but it can help you quickly know where you stand.

EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) helps people reconnect with themselves and others. The effectiveness of this method is backed with extensive clinical research. EFT is used with individuals, couples and families. Clients like EFT because it goes deeper than behavioral change, getting to the heart of what drives negative patterns. Watch this 2 minute video to learn what makes EFT different.

In the first session, your therapist will listen closely to how you see the problem and what brought you into therapy. Together you’ll unpack the bigger picture and make a plan for your treatment moving forward. Our therapists are non-judgmental and efficient. They work hard to make sure you feel heard and at the same time gather relevant information so they can help you!
-
The short answer? It depends. (You knew that was coming, didn’t you?)
While we can’t make any guarantees, most clients feel relief after the first session. You should feel understood, seen and confident your therapist has a plan for your treatment. Typically, clients start to feel a marked difference after 6-12 sessions. Beyond that, you’ll collaborate with your therapist about frequency and duration. We have a clinical map to guide us. There are markers that we look for along the way. That, plus your input helps us know where we are and about how much longer we have!

I’m so glad you asked! Actually, most therapists have a caseload of about half and half - couples and individuals. A few therapists on our team are specifically trained in family work. We use Emotionally Focused Therapy for all of it and yes, we’re most known for our couples work. But, if it’s individual or family work you’re needing - please reach out! We’ll match you with a therapist that is specifically trained for what you’re looking for.

For hourly sessions, we have therapists ranging from $60/hour for a graduate student intern to $200/hour for our most experienced therapists. For an elevated experience, we also offer 3-day intensives. For more on that, visit our intensive site.
-
We are a self-pay counseling practice, so we do not take insurance. But we do provide superbills to clients who would like to submit a claim for reimbursement with their insurance company.

How to Get Started With a Nashville Therapist
Step 1: Reach Out
FILL OUT AN INQUIRY FORM. You may already know the therapist you want to work with. If not, no worries! Laura, our Care Coordinator will help you decide which therapist is the best match for your needs.
Step 2: Speak With Our Care Coordinator
Our Care Coordinator is the most lovely client advocate you’ll find. Tell her what works best for you (schedule, location, etc). She knows the therapists very well and knows their particular strengths so she can match you well.
Step 3: Get Matched
BOOK A SESSION! Once you get matched with a therapist, Laura will help you schedule your first appointment. You’ll never have to question what happens next. She’ll walk you through every step of the way.
Step 4: Begin Your Journey
Show up. On paper, this is the easiest part - but we recognize it’s actually the most vulnerable. Your therapist wants to know exactly where you are. Bring all your thoughts and feelings. Together, you’ll make sense of everything and slow it down, making space for clarity and connection.
